Intro to Wing foiling Lesson

$300 – 2hrs

New to Foiling? Not sure where to start? This is a great opprotinity to “dip your toes” and see if wing foiling, or foiling in general, is for you! This 2hr Jet ski supported experience is aimed to help you lay your baseline foil skills. We will focus on equipment setup, handling, and baseline riding technique.

Wing Foil Lesson

$450 – 3hrs

Your lesson choice to learn how to become an independent Wing Foiler. This is a 1-on-1 session aimed at progression utilizing the best locations and conditions Charleston has to offer. Our expert knowledge, jet ski support, radio communications, and access to industry-leading equipment will help you learn to wing at a faster pace than normal, but also in a safer environment.

$150/hr – 2hr minimim

Daniel Ware

My name is Daniel Ware — founder and head coach here at Glide. I’m stoked to bring these new foil disciplines home to Charleston and show people how these sports simply get you more days on the water. My passion for foiling was born from my years of surfing and becoming frustrated with smaller days, blown-out conditions, or simply the lack of conditions to ride at all. Foiling has totally unlocked so many more days on the water for me and created so many new ways to get out there. Daniel is the guy if your kid wants to learn to foil. My 13-year-old son saw someone pumping by on a foil and immediately said, “That’s what I wanna do.” Daniel made that dream possible.

He was patient, knowledgeable, and super encouraging—exactly the kind of coach you want for a sport that isn’t easy to just pick up. Keegan felt safe, stoked, and supported the whole time. I spent a few days training with Daniel, and it was one of the most valuable experiences I’ve had in my foiling journey. He towed me via jet ski to help me get the feel for the foil, and we focused on SUP foiling as the foundation to build into other disciplines like paddle starts and downwinding. His approach is super thoughtful, he breaks things down technically while keeping it fun and encouraging. Daniel really understands how to tailor the sessions to your level and long-term goals. He also gave me great guidance on gear choices to support my progression, which was a huge bonus. I left feeling much more confident and motivated to keep progressing. Highly recommend training with him if you’re serious about learning to foil the right way! I plan to get back soon!

Thanks to Daniel, I can finally ride swells! He helped me understand pumping technique and also how to read the water. He was patient and obviously knowledgeable, and broke everything down in a way that made it all click for me. If you want to take your winging to the next level, I highly recommend Daniel.
